Black Goth Pinup by Digital3Dgrirls Black Goth Pinup by Digital3Dgrirls
Picture made for the CG pinup "Black as noir" contest.
Maybe in my mind black+pinup= goth...:D

except the door...every material shader has been carefully modified, So it took me very looong time to setup ( maybe around 10 hours for texturing and setting up the lighting), i really hope to get good feedback.

Thanks to everyone watching and thanks so much for those who leave some comments.

I like this render a lot, it's very well done. I can't help but notice the shadow on the wall immediately behind her, it's almost as if one of the mesh faces didn't take the shadow. Beyond that, tight work and well done.

Since I need 100 words... A little bit of diffusion of the shadow (such that the shadow lines aren't quite so defined, i.e. blurred) would also help indicate scattering by the environment (not sure if this is biased or unbiased render, I would guess biased).

There, 100 words. Don't mistake me, lighting is great, a few tweaks makes it excellent. Beautiful render, with just the right tease and finesse.

And so...

Vision - Quite impressive clothing and scene materials. Lighting and shadows feel natural and fit the setting as well - 'Black as noir'. I really like the floor reflections and door's ornaments.

Ner face however... I'm not sure what kind of expression she has, Also, eyes move symetrically wich means her right eye needs to be more centered or... her left eye moved a bit to the left.

I feel neutral about the eye liner/face tattoo and the piercing she has, since I'm not much of a tattoo/piercing 'expert'.

Originality - let's be honest with it, the goth is not the most original thing in the world and to fit in it you need to follow a certain path. Following a certain parth leaves little space for originality. Also the pose is kind of overused.

Technique - Well, the render seems very good to me, also I like how you play with the light, shdows and reflections, so there is nothing I could state as a flaw here. Perhaps her skin needs little tweaking, because it looks a bit plastic to me.

Impact - hmm, since I'm a man and I like gothic chicks it has a great impact on me, but that's not objective thinking right? Let's just say it fits the 'Black as noir' and the goth setting quite well. But as an inmpact on the art itself it does a little.

This is outstanding! I love the chain nose piece, that is original right there. This is the kind of art I really like. Thanks so much.

WOW... stunning! One of the reasons I appreciate your work so much is that the lighting is incredible. here and in other images i've commented I'd be herd pressed to produce anything as good.

I feel better that where you say the texturing for the door took so long, though at first I was like 'Door?' haha I'm working on a photomanipulation where my model's hair is blowing and I've put in about 4 hours trying to make it blend with the background.

I also appreciate the body types of your models, and so much else besides.
